The warmth is within Open your heart
 Open your mind
 Open your heart
Open your mind And the sun shines
And the warmth is within us
 And the sun shines
The warmth is within Get up get up

Garden Song 04:13
"Garden Song" (Dave Andrews) Always amazed by the art you create Beautiful music you make I’m ever so proud of your giving and caring The sweetness you share with the world I want to tell everyone these are my boys Talents, bravery, heart You know what’s important, you share all your best I’m happy, you’re healthy, you’re all I wanted I’ve seen your Garden, It’s more than your average violet and pansy I’ve seen you growing … up Into your Garden, you go A vision, when I am gone, point to a time Happiness, love is your fate Astonished in these times you look to the future In no form do you hold hate I’ve seen your Garden, It’s more than your average violet and pansy I’ve watched you growing … up Into your Garden, you go

Can You? 05:27
"Can You?" (Christopher Shotola-Hardt) Can you not see the storm ahead Can you not hear the rumbling Can you afford to stay alone Can you not feel the tremor Here ….. why Can you not let go Of me, as an entity The world, can you let it be Without your philosophy Can you not be you How can you know the vast unknown How can you see the unseen How can you feel what can’t be felt How can you be and not be You ….. why Can you not let go Of me, as an entity The world, can you let it be Without your philosophy Can you not be you

World Swirls 04:00
"World Swirls" (Mark Andrews)
I like to hold your hand I like to hold your hand as we walk together
Through the rainy and sunny weather
You’re mine I like to brush your hair
I like to brush your hair out of your eyes
When you turn to me and smile We’ll let the world swirl, swirl around us
We’ll let the world swirl And we’ll get our time
 Where we can find it
 Make the hours count
Before we’re separated
And we’ll grow stronger Let the world swirl, swirl around us…

"Let Go of the Heavy" (Mark Andrews)

I know life can weigh you down With cold headlines and hard deadlines
 Negativity on the inside
Open the door and get to the other side Chorus:
Come on and dance with me
We’ll let go of the heavy and let in the light
And it’ll be alright When the walls start to close in
And the floor starts to shake and crack
 Let’s refocus our minds
Go have some fun get back on track (Chorus) Let go of the heavy
Let go of the heavy
Let go of the heavy
Let of of it! (Chorus) Why you so heavy
 Let in the light
 Why you so heavy
 It’ll be alright
 Why you so heavy

about

This is a concept album, a political album, our response to the craziness of 2020: the pandemic, demonstrations against systemic racism, marches to support Black Lives Matter, disasters brought on by undeniable climate change, political and social division, and crucial decisions we face as a nation, as world citizens. It starts at the personal level and emanates out to the universal. From moment to moment we have the power to choose who we want to be, how we want to act, and how we will respond to others and the world.

Bug Toast is a progressive folk ensemble comprised of musicians from two families. Sometimes we are a quartet, sometimes a quintet, sometimes a sextet. This album features a quartet, three string players and an accordionist, and we all sing in harmony. We always feature a balance of instrumental compositions and songs with lyrics. For other albums, we include percussion and drums, those musicians are also family. We prefer to work thematically, where each album is centered on a theme.
